updated 1/23/12 Solo Practice Performance Students who are performing
a solo at Solo and Ensemble MPA will need to have
a "practice" performance for Mrs. Singletary during the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 3.
A schedule will be made available for students by the end of this week, and
times will
Solo and Ensemble MPA is Feb. 10-11. Performance times will be released for this event approximately 1 week before the event, and will be posted here on the website.

All-County Band Rehearsal Schedule: Thursday, Jan. 26--6-8:30 p.m. EGHS Bandroom Friday, Jan. 27--9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. EGHS Bandroom Parents provide transportation for students to and from this rehearsal. Students need to bring $6 for lunch at Ci Ci's pizza. Bus transportation will be provided to/from lunch. Saturday, Jan. 28--1:30-4:30 p.m. EGHS Auditorium CONCERT--meet at THE KING CENTER at approximately 6:30 p.m. (TBA), concert 7:30 p.m. Tickets are required to attend the concert, but they are FREE! Students will receive their tickets that they requested at the end of rehearsal on Friday. If you need extra tickets, see your director!

Welcome to our web site! The Johnson
Middle School Band, under the direction of Laura
Singletary and Veronica Curran, consists of two
beginning bands, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Jazz
Band, and Symphonic Band. Over 230 students are
enrolled in band at Johnson Middle School! Mrs. Singletary is beginning her 14th year as the Band Director at Johnson. She is the Middle School Chairperson for the Brevard All-County Band, and she serves as an assistant director for the Eau Gallie High School Band Program as well. Mrs. Singletary was honored to be selected as the 2009 Florida Middle School All-State Band Conductor, performing at the Florida Music Educators Association Convention in Tampa. The Johnson Band is widely recognized as an outstanding band program in central Florida, and the Johnson Music Department is recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a "Music Demonstration School." who has the same accompanist). We can be fairly flexible and work with you
in getting your student scheduled!
