Welcome to our web site! The Johnson Middle School
Band, under the direction of Laura Singletary and Veronica Curran,
consists of two beginning bands, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Jazz
Band, and Symphonic Band. Over 270 students are enrolled in band at
Johnson Middle School! Mrs. Singletary is beginning her 12th year as the Band Director at Johnson. She is the Middle School Chairperson for the Brevard All-County Band, and she serves as an assistant director for the Eau Gallie High School Band Program as well. Mrs. Singletary was honored to be selected as the 2009 Florida Middle School All-State Band Conductor, performing at the Florida Music Educators Association Convention in Tampa (January, 2009.) The Johnson Band is widely recognized as an outstanding band program in central Florida, and the Johnson Music Department is recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a "Music Demonstration School."
